Add "Teams field" as a Aha! record relationships custom field

What is the challenge?

Our way to plan work is by assigning features or epics to a team. As project manager, we don't assign directly to an individual.

It's the team that is responsible to plan their work, a bit in an "agile" way. On our end, we make sure the team will be busy enough for a given period of time and will be focusing on the features we assigned to it.

For now, we created a Predefined choice list custom field called Team. It feels a clunky when dealing with pivot and reports.

What is the impact?

We had to create custom field that feels a bit clunky. Having a native field such as Users or Personas fields, we think could bring better ways to triage our Epic/Initiative within the Team record.

Describe your idea

We would like to have the possibility to pre-assign records to a team created via the Capacity Planning.

In the same way that the other Aha! record relationship (Personas, Users, ...).

Fully agree with this. It would be great to see the assigned team on the epic.
I just shared a note with the AHA support, and it seems to exactly match this need. Please see below I shared with the support for our view on the issue:

Topic: Is there a default way to assign teams to epics?

Context:So far, we went with creating a custom field (predefined list) to be able to select teams. But since we have over 60 teams across workspaces, that becomes quite a long list.We could create a custom field with the predefined list for each product, but that comes with the downside that we will have 12 additional custom fields on the epic template out of which only 1 is getting used in each workspace.

In addition, we started utilizing capacity planning (advanced estimates) in some workspaces. That works great for capacity planning and for the capacity report. However, we are only able to see the capacity estimate on the epic, not the team(s) that the epic has been assigned to. Usually, this is only 1 team for us so it would be great if we could see that as a field on the epic.We could of course add the custom field (see above) and at the advanced estimate to the epic. But is there a way to link these two so we don’t have to maintain both values (the custom field for teams and the team advanced estimates)? I wouldn’t want to have these go out of sync. Or is there another way to show the teams that have been assigned in advanced estimates on the epics?

For a great experience, it would be great if we could simply add the teams that have been added under capacity planning to the suggested "teams" field and could follow the default teams that are set under 'default teams' in capacity planning.

The current behavior is especially surprising since it is already possible to show the assigned teams on the epic layout (see screenshot). So it would be great and should be very easy to show the assigned teams on the epic details view as a field.
This could be done a) as read only or b) as the field to assign teams, even if advanced estimates are not used or not yet filled in to start planning work for the team.

Small addition: I would also want to integrate the assigned teams with a field in Jira. Therefore, having a proper field to manage this would be great.
