Allow joining a roll-up initiative to its' related goal in a report

Who would benefit?

Businesses with multi-tiered strategic hierarchies. The reporting need is: "Show me initiatives, with their parent initiative, and then the goal that the parent initiative is related to". This could be, for example:

  • Product-level initiative

  • Linked to company-level initiative

  • Related to company-level goal

What impact would it make?

It would open up the reporting capabilities for showing goals and initiatives at multiple levels of the workspace hierarchy.

How should it work?

  • Currently, in a report, you join an initiative to its' rollup initiative. From that point, you can only join the rollup initiative to additional higher levels of initiatives (i.e. rollup initiative 2, rollup initiative 3)

  • It is not currently possible to join the rollup initiative to its' related goal

  • This should be supported because it is a valid relationship in the Aha! data model and would allow businesses with complex strategic structures to provide deeper strategic insights.

  • Currently, it IS possible to show these relationships in a hierarchy report; however, the hierarchy report has limited configurability and this option should also be supported in lists/pivots/custom roadmaps.

We have updated the status of this idea. It was previously "Shipped" because it was linked to another feature in error.
