Propagate idea changes to feature after idea promotion

All,

I realized that if you edit and idea after has been promoted and you change any detail (e.g. potential revenues from 100M$ to 200M$) this information is not updated in the feature associated.

This might generate a big issue since the submitter is convinced that the new data are received and propagated into the feature but it is not happening.

I consider the possibility to change idea after submission a BUG, so please either block the idea changes after promotion or generate a big warning message to the submitter.

    The issue is that when the originator makes changes to the Idea AFTER it has been promoted she is not informed that it is too late and the changes will not be accepted/propagated to Engineering. 

    This can lead to false expectations. Imagine this scenario:

    1. Sales creates an Idea
    2. Sales modifies the Idea
    3. Idea is promoted to a Feature and includes all modifications up to this point
    4. Sales modifies the Idea again
    5. BU delivers feature which includes first modifications but not the second modifications
    6. Sales and customer is upset that all the functionality they feel that they asked for was not delivered

     

    What we are asking for is for Aha to notify the Ideas Portal user that when they try to modify the Idea after it has been promoted that their changes will not be considered.
