We need the ability to show sub statuses to track the phases within each status (specifically on ideas). We would like to see the default ideas overview dashboard pie chart include the sub statuses, so that we can drill down into each status and identify the sub status for which the idea is currently in.
Thank you for your idea. One option here would be to create a custom field to track the sub-status. You could set custom colors for each option and also create a custom chart to view records by sub-status.
Given the flexibility with custom fields and other priorities, we are unlikely to implement this idea at this time. We hope you can understand.
We are using custom fields already but that is not enforceable as far as I can tell. I also can't move that custom field up into the UX where it would be next to the workflow of the idea.
We currently have created a custom field to align to business process status for internal usage, would be good to have a business process status that links to the workflow status if they are separate.
