How should it work? |
An Ideas report should be able to pull the status and the release of the associated record that the idea was promoted to. Currently I can show a list of ideas and the "promoted to" record. However its not possible to conciselyshow the status and release associated with the promoted records. Since we promote to different record types (primarily epics or features), I can't determine how to show this status without showing in seperate columns. Plus I can only associated release with one record type, Epics or Features, not both. I would like a way to show the status of the promoted issues without knowing what the record type it is |
We also have this requirement. Ideas can be promoted to initiatives, epics and features and I would like to show in a report all promoted record types in dynamic columns, rather than having separate columns for initiatives, epics and features.
This is a great idea. We have the same use case where I work, only working more with Initiatives / Epics than Epics / Features.
What could make for a powerful report if we could dynamically show the promoted record delivery date / status in only a couple of columns requires us to add double the columns we really need. This causes the report to look clunky with lots of blank spaces and requires a lot of horizontal scrolling. While it still holds valuable information, it doesn't look good and stakeholders are less inclined to use it for that reason.
