Add Alpha Character to record IDs
Whenever I need to do a mass update on an Idea and I export the ID field out it becomes a nightmare to work with in Excel or Access because it's a numeric value that keeps changing to something that looks like a formula. It would be really nice if it had an alpha value in the front of it so it would be easier to work with.

Thank you for your idea. The ID is reformatted when exported to CSV, however the export to Excel prevents this. Additionally, the Idea reference does include the product prefix and will not be reformatted in any export.
At this time, we are unlikely to change the structure of the ID fields given the Excel export option. We hope you can understand.

The problem isn't just the export. If I want to IMPORT data I need the ID field, not the reference field. I have already had instances where I had to export Idea data, change a field value, and reimport it. I had a terrible time working with the data with the ID field because it kept converting to the formula format.
