It would allow us to provide guidance for Master Feature creators on what sections to fill out. These sections have been agreed upon by stakeholders to make sure sufficient information is included for every instance.

We have the same need - This capability allows us to manage our templates/guidance at the portfolio level and has been extremely beneficial if providing consistency and completeness when our team members create features of different types (application, reporting, interface/integration, etc.). We are needing the same for master features to provide the same guidance and have value of having completeness and consistency.
This is the oddest thing that you can set the feature level template but not at the master feature level. I completely agree with Ivailo and others who have commented here. To me, I need this functionality more at the Master Feature than at the feature level! I find value in it being where it is currently at but those who use Master Features need this functionality at that level. For now, I am doing as someone on chat suggested - i am creating a 'dummy' Master Feature out in my parking lot titled "TEMPLATE" and putting the template text I need there so that I can copy/paste into each Master Feature I create. This does not help our 'team' however, in that I need to ensure consistency across the team and have no way to ensure everyone does this ever time. leaves room for Master Features being inconsistent, incomplete and passing off to our developers without having fully documented criteria. To me this isn't a nice to have, it is a "Must" have.

Yes can we please implement this, we wanted to add in templates ahead of an Offsite our entire product team is doing, but are handcuffed right now.

Completely agree with Ivailo. My company is having the same issue trying to standardize process and format across the company and not being able to do a simple template for master features if pretty frustrating.
I find it strange that templates are not available on Master Feature level, since for larger projects the need for a detailed analysis leading to a templated output is usually higher. For users of Master Features, I would assume features can get smaller and less important, and the majority of the information should be provided on Master Feature level.
