Release Phases of a Parking lot release

I think there should be an option to add the releases phases within a parking lot.

    Thank you for your idea. Release phases are time-based which is why it is not possible to add them to parking lots (which contain no timeline.) 

    At this time we are unlikely to make changes here. We hope you can understand. In the meantime, please share more details on your use case in the comments. There may be a better solution that we can recommend or a different idea that we can merge this with.

    Please reconsider allowing phases in "Parking Lot" releases. Often times, a decent amount of work goes into planning the release before a release date is known.

    For example, we need to take our proposed releases to a solutions council for approval at which point we can schedule the release based on priority and time to deliver. Doing the leg work to get the information needed to present to the solution council is something we prefer to track in release phases. By limiting phases to non-parking lot releases only, we are forced to set an internal date arbitrarily which could lead to miscommunication as people look at the release board.
