Parking Lot - capacity

Would you consider adding the Capacity planning for Parking lot as well? The section is there, but it is missing the link to set a capacity and the capacity status bar showing work remaining etc. So since the parking lot is basically a copy of the release maybe this can be easily implemented :). You can also split this in the product configuration to enable planning separately for Releases and Parking Lot.

This could be really useful when wanting to prioritize / organize features based on capacity as well in the parking lot and then add them to a release (also if a release is viewable by many, you do not want to confuse all stakeholders with moving features around).

Thank you for the request. As you mentioned, we currently provide capacity planning only on scheduled releases, as this would allow for the ability to track work done/remaining.

That said, it is still possible to enter feature/requirement estimates on features which appear in the Parking lot. There are a couple workarounds which can help achieve a similar goal. You could move the release to the scheduled area and rename it in a way that other colleagues are aware that its a "parking lot" item. You could also run reports on the feature estimates, which could also help to better visualize and understand what might be possible.

At this time, we do not have plans to make updates in this area but hope that the workarounds can help. We hope you can understand.

This would probably be a pretty easy and useful enhancement. I use multiple parking lot columns for different stages/categories of things which are candidates for moving into releases. When we have sized items in certain parking lot columns it would be very useful to have estimate totals shown at the top of each column so that one doesn't need to manually sum the items.

I voted for that idea as this can be a great tool to cooperate between PMs. each one of them have it's own parking lot and when a release is being created from the diffrent parking lots of many PMs it is easier for all to understand how to balance between the different modules / PMs

This would be great to have in the parking lot especially when you are doing scenario planning and budgeting etc
