Problem Descrption
I’m currently working on an Ideas Portal for our customers.
We already have one portal for internal purposes (let's call it Internal Portal) and would like to publish some of the ideas created there to invited customers (Customer Portal).
This works perfectly fine setting the visibility accordingly. The only problem is that in the Customer Portal also all internal comments added to the Internal Portal are shown there, too.
This is a problem because internal comments may contain information our customers shouldn't / are not allowed to see.
So what we would need is:
There should be a new setting in the portal configuration (maybe called "Show comments from other portals").
It should be possible to hide/show comments added in other portals that have the same product(s) assigned.
It would help us a lot - properly distinguishing between customer feedback and internal feedback. Like this, customers also only see what they are meant to see.
In the backend however (when logging into Aha!), all comments from all portals should be shown. Best would be to see which portal the comment has been added from.
Thank you and kind regards!
PS: I chose "Yesterday" in "I need it...." because without having this feature, I cannot use a second portal for customers as planned.
Thank you for your idea. Currently the best way to manage internal feedback is to make your company employees Aha! reviewers. This allows them to leave private comments directly in the application.
With the Enterprise plan, you can add unlimited Reviewers.
This is intentional as we feel that internal discussions around ideas should occur within the application. In light of this we are unlikely to make changes in this area. We hope you can understand.
I am going to second the request to silo comments (why would I want comments in my "internal" portal to be visible in my "customer" portal? what is the point of having different portals?!).
Training my entire company on two interfaces - the idea portal and the admin view - and "ask" them to not use the other functionality available to Viewers is not a good workaround to the request "don't show my customers the comments posted in my internal portal"
Thanks for the reply! I do understand, but we would like to keep the UI of the ideas portal for our employees. When I understood it correctly, employees being reviewers should then leave comments directly in Aha! and not using the ideas portal? This won't be an alternative for us then.
