Utilize Tags Across All Areas (Releases, Ideas, & Features)
Right now, you cannot use the existing default "Tag" field (used in ideas & features) within release layouts. If I want to add tags to a release layout, I have to create a custom tag field and cannot re-use any of the existing tags that were created for ideas and features (without manually adding them). It would be nice to have the option to add the existing "Tag" field used in features/ideas to releases, and, be able to use the same tags across all areas.

I agree. It would be helpful to add tags to releases so we could filter to releases across workspaces that all have the same tag. This would be a win for our Prod Op's team so they could easily see all product releases/launches with that tag.
I like having an option to create them separately; but, similar to the issue with custom fields, it would be very helpful if you can create a list and indicate where it can be used so that the information is consistent.
This is needed by my organization. Any comment on this at all?

I agree with this! I would love to be able to add Tags on releases, not just on the features
