Provide searching capabilities for custom tables

We like the custom table feature however find it is limited based on the lack of a search capability.  To make the feature even more powerful, it would be great to introduce searching against custom tables in potentially two places.

1) Global search accessed by the magnifying glass at the top right of the screen.

2) Search when viewing contents of a specific table

Out of the two options, I think 2 is more important.

      Hi!

To clarify, Ron's comment was from Feb 2017. This idea shipped in 2019 with option "1) Global search accessed by the magnifying glass at the top right of the screen." You should be able to use the search functionality in Aha! to locate custom table data.

I'm curious, are you seeing something different? Or are you looking for the second option to search directly from a custom table page (i.e. option 2)?
If option 2, we are tracking that idea here: https://big.ideas.aha.io/ideas/AFPR-I-7355 Please feel free to vote on this idea! Thanks!

Adding custom tables to the global search would be a great win for our team.

Thank you for the request. We've marked it as Likely to implement.

In the meantime, you might also find Report Filters helpful. We recently launched the ability to Create and Filter on custom table data via the Reports -> Analytics section. While this is not the same as a Search capability, it may help you to filter on the data you are analyzing.
