As a product manager I'd like to be able to define both an internal and an external product name.
The case might be that our team and internal employees refer to a product as "X". Externally, our customers know the product as "Y" in marketing and communications. We need to be able to show only the external name in places that our customers see Aha! related content -- for example, an idea portal.
Thank you for the idea. This is possible by going to your ideas portal's terminology settings.
You can provide custom terminology for all workspace and category names in your portal settings terminology.
Please let us know if you do not see this option.
I think you misunderstood the question. What exists today is the ability to change how objects are labelled; Features can become "Market Problems" etc.
What does NOT exist is the ability to show a different external name for a Workspace; Workspace names work better if they are short, internally (better for roadmaps, internal recognition, etc) but when a Workspace (product) name shows up in an Idea portal, we want to show the full name with brand etc.
This Idea should not have been closed as Already exists, as AFAICT it does not actually exist.
I have the same issue; product names long enough for customers to understand them "out of context" in the Ideas portal are way too long to not break formatting of the roadmaps - because product names are shown vertically, we end up with way too much whitespace.
