What I am looking for is a way that we can create a strawman product release or brand new products at some level of detail (maybe not all the way down to individual features) that we could use when doing customer interviews for validating ideas. I'd like to be able to send the PM's on the road to talk to 10-15 customers with the strawman and come back and report on the results as input into the validation and prioritization process before we start building.
This can be achieved through Aha! There are a few ways that you could handle this in Aha!
The easiest option would be to capture this information in a Product Note. You could create a hierarchy in your note to indicate the ideas within each product concept, along with the customers that each PM had talk to.
Another option would be to create products in Aha! for each product concept. You could then use features to represent each customer and leverage custom fields for inputs from customer interviews. This option would allow for greater flexibility around custom reporting on your team's research.
