Off-site backups to our prem is a requirement from our CEO. Depending on someone remembering to do this is a risk, and it's not a great use of their time.
Another part of this request should also be the ability to recover only a piece of data. If someone accidentally deletes a section, and doesn't notice until a week later, we wouldn't want to wipe out the last week of changes in order to recover that one piece.
Right now, the Enterprise+ option is like this: we give them the opportunity to dump their mailbox to a .pst file, and then replace their current mailbox with the entirety of that .pst file. They have to do the work themselves, and it's an all-or-nothing proposition. That's better than making them export every e-mail, one at a time, but it would be rather... disappointing to them.
Our business case is that we want to pull a nightly backup, and store it locally. Currently backups cannot be auto-generated, and can't be transmitted to us automatically. It would be great if they could be!
I would say also for Enterprise customers.

Same as above. Manual is time consuming and open to error.
We have exactly the same use case as Jason - not being able to automate backups is a big risk for us ..
