Ability to create release phases and milestones which automatically use business days

For example, this would allow me to create week-long phases which would be 5 days (and not 7 days). A milestone would also automatically be populated on the first business day available.

Related to this, I would like to be able to create templates of phases and milestones that only take into account business days

Weekends are now automatically excluded from release templates in Aha! Roadmaps — so you can focus on business days between phases and milestones.

Very very needed, currently have to manually update each release

I am a bit surprised that this is still an idea looking for a feature. I can work around it, but a bit wierd. Do you expect us to adopt 996?

From a business perspective, this is a deal-breaker. Without the ability to customise schedule templates (remove weekends and public holidays), this platform requires a lot of manual work and decreases the efficiency it is meant to produce.

Please exclude weekend days from the scheduling tool as a priority. This issue makes the scheduling process very manual, and working with hundred of project schedules creates hundreds of hours additional work. In effect, your scheduling tool is not automated.

This issue is a blocker to purchasing an Aha subscription. It's one of the most basic requirements of a scheduling tool. As soon as templates of phases & milestones can exclude weekend days, I would go ahead and purchase an Enterprise+ plan. Until then, I have to remain with Smartsheet, despite it's reduced functionality in other areas.

This is a serious oversight - every project management software I've ever used allows you to determine default working days and to designate country/company holidays. Please add this!

Any movement on this feature? This seems something that would be a big win for anyone who uses release templates.

Would love to see the feature related to release templates. The functionality that automatically calculates phase and milestone dates is useless without being able to define the days of the week that should be considered working days. Today we use a project scheduling tool to do the date calculations and then manually enter them for each release.

This one seems to be a no-brainer and a MUST-HAVE.

I am amazed this is considered an Idea for future consideration, and not a defect.  After hiding weekends and planning out a significant number of releases, we only found this issue when some of our Feature that were less than two days long were not visible on the Gantt chart.

We are currently investigating other options for release planning as this has caused significant planning issues and is a massive time waster.

I agree that holidays need to be included too. A prebuilt and custom holiday list is needed with the ability to add custom reoccurrence. Example Independence day is every July 4th while Thanksgiving is 4th Thursday of November.

I love this idea, it would be a much more accurate way to track the project

Absolutely essential, additionally would be good to add peoples holidays ,exceptions etc and have the release and resourcing account for it.

Having the option to filter out weekends and apply them to these phases would be very helpful.

I am surprised this does not exist. This is "Gantt chart functionality 101". Please consider implementing this.

I think APP-I-5002 should be merged into this one and its votes counted.

I was boggled by the lack of this functionality when I tried release phases for the first time. I've never seen a work scheduling tool that doesn't understand working versus non-working days, at least based on days of the week.

Essential to have things built around a work week. Please.

When setting up default phases for releases, we can specify the number of days (duration) that are allocated to a phase. Is it not possible to have this as the number of work days instead of calendar days?

Add the ability to exclude non-working days from duration of a release phase

It would be helpful so that when using release templates the duration does not include weekends.

Exclude certain days from Release Template

It would be especially helpful to exclude weekends from a Release Template. Even though no one will be working those days, I have to add days to each Phase in order to account for non-business days in a Release plan. If I could exclude non-working...
