When raising an idea of voting on existing idea a priority field would have provide more information and context. For example lots of people may think an idea is good, but could be a low priority. Voting doesn't provide enough granularity in itself.
This portal has a "I need it.... Field". Could just be a matter of exposing this in the product
Per Paul's later comment, we still need a way to enter a priority at the time the user votes, not just when the idea gets created initially. Up/Down is not sufficient to give how strongly the user feels.

Hi Ron, i'm aware if this capability however it is only useful when creating a new idea. Not when people are voting. For example I might have two features which 50 people both like and therefore vote for. However how does the product manager then decide which one to implement first. When people vote if they can decide high, medium, low for example this information can be used to determine priority. So either need a drop down when voting, or have multiple voting buttons in different colours that then go to different buckets.

By going to Product Settings -> Custom fields, you can add a custom field for Ideas. There are a variety of different types of fields that you can create, and you just need to make sure that it is configured to your product's idea portal. This would be a great way to add a Priority field for your idea portal.
