We need to be able to view and prioritize all company initiatives in one place. Our executive team would like to meet quarterly to review and set the initiatives based on value and what is most important for the company. Right now you can not see all initiatives in one place, you can only view them at the product or product line level. Being able to do this was one of the main reasons for us purchasing aha.
I see this is marked as unlikely to implement but I am up voting it anyway. We do quarterly roadmaps for each of our product lines to prioritize the initiatives for that quarter. We cannot easily order the initiatives based on these roadmaps as each has their own priority number in aha and cannot just be dragged into the correct order. We have tried moving all the initiatives up to the Product line level but then our jira integration breaks: https://big.ideas.aha.io/ideas/A-I-9089
Ron, the scorecard is a nice improvement and might be useful, but it's a really complex and heavyweight solution to a simple problem. We want to quickly prioritize some initiatives and have those priorities carry through reports. With a drag-and-drop, I can do it quickly in a meeting and see the results. With a scorecard, I have to create a card, go into each item, change it's values. If i want to re-prioritize I have to edit at least two items and work out the values to make them come out how I need them.
We don't use rigid scorecards, we are prioritizing based on conversations and priority.
This solution, while it does work, is really complicated.and will annoy our users. It's not the solution that this idea is requesting.
We recently launched a feature which allows you to prioritize your strategic initiatives with a custom scorecard.
You can use the same custom scorecard across all initiatives to create a rank across your portfolio. This can be done by creating a custom field of "custom scorecard" type. This is actually even more powerful than the functionality we currently have, in that you can create a scorecard based on what matters most for your company.
Here's our blog post with more details on this: http://blog.aha.io/index.php/prioritize-strategic-initiatives/
At the moment, we're unlikely to make changes in regards to your exact idea, but I believe this workaround might actually be a better solution.
Thanks for the feedback, yes I am using the Report list and it is useful to view the values of initiatives however it does not allow you to adjust the initiatives in priority order. Thats the piece we are really looking for.
Have you tried reviewing initiatives from the Report->List screen? From here, you can review and filter all initiatives and you can also use custom fields to set values for each initiative.
