When I drop an image into a rich text description field I'd like more control over its formatting. Currently, it appears to be applying a white background and drop shadow behind the image. Many of the images we produce have transparent backgrounds and this default visual effect is quite unappealing when viewed in a generated PDF or online.
Would be nice to control that formatting, or perhaps have access to edit the markup directly.
Thanks!

Thank you for the note. The current text editor has a wide set of controls including image attachments and other key areas.
At this time, based on community feedback and current priorities, we are unlikely to make updates in this specific area. We hope you can understand.
My merged idea relates in no way to images, which this issue is only concerned with.
The WYSIWYG editor can get janky with removing or restyling a text element that has accidentally had its whitespace removed. You pretty much have to delete the text and start again. Not even being able to edit the underlying HTML to correct the issue is frustrating as someone who has used tools with this functionality built-in.
The fact you can't quickly style up a rich text field (even with basic keyboard shortcuts) is really a basic feature in most tools with WYSIWYG editors.
If you aren't going to implement markup style editing, at least keep the keyboard shortcuts idea open.
