When I search for my name, it should show all the ideas that I've created, commented on, voted on, or been mentioned in.
This will help me find things I've worked on if I want to make updates or share with people. My manager would also like to see everything I've been working on by searching for my name.

Ok i see what you mean. That will help my boss. It's nice you have a workaround, but I'm not sure that means the idea "Already exists"...
Have you see the customized activity log? By going to Home-> Activity, you can set filters to see everything that specific people have been working (across any products or timeframe)
