Convert story to epic in Jira when promoting requirement to feature

In Aha! I have a feature with a set of requirements, all of which has been pushed to Jira as an epic with a set of stories. I want to convert one of the requirements to a new feature in Aha! and have the corresponding story in Jira changed to an epic. I will be adding new requirements to the promoted feature and want those new requirements pushed as stories linked to the new epic in Jira.

My situation is similar though my mappings are different. For me: feature = story, master feature = epic, and requirement = subtask.

What I'm facing is the scenario in JIRA where I need to convert "subtasks in a story" into "stories in an epic". That transition doesn't flow via the integration and so its a fairly manual process to convert Aha to reflect the JIRA changes. vice-versa as well.
