Link "ideas" portal comments to promoted "features"
When one promotes an "idea" to a "feature", the comments for the "idea" remain in the "idea" and don't move to the "feature". It would be very helpful if the features from an "idea" would seamlessly be available in features (even if it were just a tab next to the existing tabs for public/private comments.

This is an absolute must. We just started using the platform and everyone keeps asking about comments
This is important to our process. The comments and attachments are part of the story grooming and should be easily converted in the Feature or have an easy way to select relevant comments or attachments during the conversion.
This is imperative -- so many of our features begin as Ideas and we need to be able to track comments from the Idea to the feature.
We have a JIRA integration. Since the Idea comments can't carry through to promoted records (features / user stories), the comments similarly never make their way to JIRA where the teams actually do their work. Therefore, valuable context is continually missed unless someone thinks to go back to the original idea.
This is a big roadblock for us. There are many ideas that we ask for clarification from the person that entered the idea or we get more use cases from additional people that vote on the idea. All of that is "lost" when the feature is created, if we don't remember to look at the comments of the idea to ensure we are not missing any pertinent information.
Please! Idea comments can add so much color to the request. By the time a feature gets to DevOps through the integration, they do not know that they can or should go all the way back to the Idea to look for additional context. Pulling the comments through at the beginning could save change requests later!
This would be a HUGE win! We recently had some key information added to an Idea after the Feature card was already promoted and it was missed as it is not on our radar to go back and search for documents/comments on Ideas when working the Feature card.
Definitely helpful. In fact more than helpful. We have had developers start work on features without understanding the whole context of the requirements that are often still in the idea as comments.
That would make our life also so much easier! It would avoid all our ping pong emails between the idea creator and our development team (which are working on feature only). Please consider doing it soon :)
It would be great if the sync between an Idea and a Feature was just one time upon idea promotion. If the idea content is edited by the idea owner or a comment was added to the idea a synchronization request to update the feature should be triggered. That way admin can determine if the updated idea information should be synced/updated to the feature as well.
Currently if any changes or comments are made to the idea after it was promoted to a feature, someone would have to manually copy it over to the feature so that it doesn't get forgotten or not visible by development.
Not only the comments, all the fields from Aha portal should carry over to into Aha Feature and to JIRA. JIRA currently has no content other than the single Idea name being transferred as its epic/story name.
That would be a fantastic feature and make our life much easier!
After 4 years and 86 votes, surely it's time to get this implemented! The comments on ideas often provide useful extra information for developers but are difficult to reach from (say) JIRA.
I'm new to and am currently evaluating Aha! for our needs, and I'd consider this feature a basic, core functionality. I'd hate to have to be manually syncing the comments from the idea over to the feature.
Any update on this please ?
This is very important to the Charter team. We have many ideas that have attachments. We use AHA to enhance our website. So we get design specifications which are needed by the developers who are in JIRA. We also get bug tickets which have screen shots of issues that need to go to the developers.
I have voted for this issue. I hope you consider moving it up in priority to help remove the manual task of moving the attachments to features.

I agree - I'd love to see comments carry over. I'm gathering quite a bit of useful information when assessing the idea and it's annoying that the comments only stay with the Idea. Ideally, they would simply carry over with the feature and somehow be flagged or marked as commentary that took place while the feature was an idea. Perhaps a "show idea comments" that you could check or uncheck. In short, yes... please implement. I know it's flagged as "likely to implement", but the sooner the better. :)
