Add H1 tags in ideas portals

We recieved various crawl errors with regards our ideas portal and when troubleshooting this it appeared to be an issue on your end. We are raising this is a feature request so that you can look to resolve these errors in the future.

    OK, thank you for confirming. I updated the idea name to reference the missing H1 tags. We will update this idea as soon as the portals are updated. It is part of a larger project, so it will take some time. But it is in progress.

    As for merging ideas, the original idea will actually still be visible in the portal via the original URL. There will be a message at the top of the page that it has been merged -- with a link to go and view the merged idea. Here is an example: https://big.ideas.aha.io/ideas/A-I-9416

    Thanks Austin. With regards the missing H1 tags this is correct, we also about redirect and what the best thing to do is when merging ideas as we assume old URLs will stay the same?

    Also in terms of the nofollow tags, Ahrefs the SEO tool we use is picking these up as criticial issues. We will also reach out to them about this.

    Hi there,

    Thank you for reaching out. I noticed from your chat with our customer success team that there were two main issues that you seen:

    1. Missing H1 tags

    2. Nofollow tags on the vote button

    We do have a project underway that will resolve #1.

    Regarding #2, we believe that having nofollow tags on the vote button is the right thing to do. This button is an action that users take on the page -- clicking the button to vote on an idea. It is not a link to a page that needs to be crawled.

    Can you confirm that these were the two issues you are referring to? If so I will promote it to the feature that will address the H1 tags. That way you will be notified as soon as the update is shipped.
