Ability to filter when searching for records to link to

When trying to link one record to another record (example: for dependencies) it is often very difficult to find the record to link it to as the records to relate are often created by different product managers within different workspaces.

It seems the list today shows you the most recent records you viewed but instead if it could show you the records related to a single workspace that you filter to, that would be helpful. Or when searching for the record, if you can search by more than just the name of the record, that may also help. Another thought is that when you select the record to link it to, if you could preview that record to ensure it's the right one, that would be helpful.
