yes, that is the use case. There are also account managers which can do that on their behalf.
Thank you for clarifying! To make sure we understand - is the following correct?
Your partners can create and vote on ideas on your ideas portal.
When they do, you would like them to add/select their own company name from a list.
If that is right, you may find it useful to report on and filter by the idea's 'Created by email domain'

well, it is not about voting, but grouping the ideas per partner, without needing to add tags or anything on the Aha! Side, but let the prtner representative identify themselves when submitting the idea.
