What is the challenge? |
Date fields on report drill-ins appear with a numeric format set by the report owner's locale setting that is not globally intelligible, e.g., '1/4/25', nor is it consistent with format of the date that displays within the report, which can be made intelligible to a global audience, e.g., 'Jan 4, 2025' |
What is the impact? |
Transatlantic teams who consume shared or embedded webpage reports will be confused whether 4/1/25 is April 1 or January 4 when looking at data in a drill-in. Communicating unambiguously about dates is essential for global organizations. |
Describe your idea |
Make the format of the drill-in consistent with the date format used in the report OR use a universal date format that spells out the month (even partially) in drill-ins if the format is locked to the report creator |
