Give external users the ability to subscribe to other object updates

What is the challenge?

In the new year, we plan to make our roadmap publicly accessible by embedding the report directly into our ideas portal. This will allow users to view and explore upcoming features, with the ability to click into each for more details. Similar to subscribing to idea updates, we would love the ability for users to subscribe to roadmap features, ensuring they’re notified of any changes to timelines or scope.

What is the impact?

If a field changes on a roadmap feature (i.e. timeline) then customers are not made aware until they check the roadmap.

Describe your idea

Option 1: Give external users the ability to 'subscribe' to other objects that are made public in Aha similar to the 'watcher' capability so that they are notified when certain fields change.

Option 2: Give us the ability to expose a public-facing change log where we can choose which fields are included - this is similar to the history tab of objects.

Option 3: If an idea is promoted to a feature, and the user is the creator or voter of the idea (i.e. already receiving updates on the idea), and we're displaying the fields from the promoted feature such as (Promoted Name, Promoted Status, Promoted Release Date, Promoted Release Name, etc.) on the idea layout - then if one of those fields change, notify the creator/voter of the idea.
