What impact would it make?

Centralized location for tracking and managing change requests to product releases and projects throughout their timelines. This is done outside of the tool today and we lose the ability to document, tag, and report on this information.

How should it work?

For releases, schedules, projects - implement a change management request that can initiate various types of changes to scope, schedule, resources(cost) that need to go through an approval process before being initiated
