Fields across multiple work items Merged

We have a series of fields that exist across all work items. Those fields are modified each week. If would be great if we were able to add a field and then select which work items that field should appear on. That way we only have to edit the field once, not the five times we have to today if the field exists in Goals, Initiatives, Epics, Features and Ideas.
