We have a need to filter ideas based on the number of values selected for a predefined tag list custom field. The Reports don't allow to add a calculated field to count such values, however, worksheets allow for it. We added the Count worksheet custom field and put it to the bottom of the layout, but it is not needed by the team and we would like to hide it. However, hiding doesn't work since the field will always be calculated and as a result, it will always shows, and thus cluttering the layout. We tried removing the field from the layout and for those Ideas that were already created, it works create since the value continues to be updated even if the field is not in the layout. However, for new Ideas created, the value is not being calculated, and we would need that. It would be great if the worksheets can be calculated for for all workspaces irrespective on whether the worksheet is in the layout or not. If you have a better solution for this problem (e.g., allowing calculated fields in reports to replicate worksheets calculations), then we are all ears.
