Being able to set start and end dates by typing in addition to choosing from calendar

To make assigning longer time periods easier, it would be nice to able to type the date in addition to choosing it from the calendar. Especially beneficial for initiatives which tend to last for a longer time, might be useful also for features.

    Thank you for the idea. This is possible today by simply typing in the date field. The status of this idea was out of date.

      I agree especially when the date is 10 month or longer in the future. It would be nice to just enter in the date instead of scanning thru all the other months to pick what you want. I think it would also be good to have a clear date field because mine won't allow me to clear out the date if there is a date in it already. I have to do that in Rally and have it sync over currently.
