Ability to type the date not use the calendar

  The status of this idea was out of date. Since this was requested we have improved date fields. Dates can now be typed or selected from the calendar.

   Can be time consuming when you have to click through the calendars a few years out, would be nice to be able to type the date in.

Ability to update Date Fields by manually typing date in text box

Would like ability to update Date Field by manually typing in date onto text box, instead of having to hover with Calendar every time.

Allow me to type in a date for a custom date field

Currently I'm stuck selecting dates from the calendar. It's a lot to click through if I have to input a date from 2016.
