As a Product Manager, I want to hit my release dates. We're using Aha!'s capacity planning feature and think it's a great tool. We have our Aha! configuration set up to display the point value of the original estimates of the requirements contained in each release (the estimates are valued in points and are automatically inherited from Jira via our Jira integration). The requirement estimates roll up through the features. The missing puzzle piece for us to understand whether a release date is feasible, is velocity. I'd like to be able to create a report that helps me understand velocity report as a function of the story point values assigned to requirements that were completed within a given month. Our dev team process (using a Kanban board in Jira) involves stories being moved to 'Closed' when they're ready to ship. We have our Jira integration set up to automatically mark requirements as Ready to ship in Aha! when that happens. It would be fantastic if there were a way to have the date stamp associated with a requirement being marked as Ready to Ship roll up in a report that showed story point valued per month.
I'd like to be able to run this report monthly, and occasionally on demand, if for example we're part way through a month and want to see how we're tracking against a target velocity, or on demand, esp if we notice an issue with the way we've been collecting data and to re-run the reports.
