It would save work if it were possible to copy an existing folder and all of the objects in the folder copied over with it...notebooks, views, etc. This would help with consistency across notebooks--especially with views involved. The copied objects could then just be tweaked as needed.
Our team is trying to create a library/template of MRD and Use Cases.
While we can copy all the master features/features in our MRD/Use Case libraries, it would be great to be able to copy a bunch of standard reports we provide without having to open each report and select "save as...".
If this idea was implemented we could more easily copy 5-7 reports for each product. While it's still tedious that users would have to change the product in the filter of each report, the rest of the reports would already be configured in a standard way.
Hi Matthew, you mention consistency across notebooks in your idea. Is your use case specific to notebooks? If so, I wanted to mention that you can currently copy notebooks which should help out a lot. From Reports -> Notebooks -> Overview click a notebook to open the drawer view. Then click Actions -> Copy this notebook. Once copied, you can edit the individual views as needed.
