Add ability to search by Aha! reference number

We currently have to search by idea and feature titles, which is very cumbersome.  If we already know the reference number, we should be able to search for that as well.  This will reduce the amount of time it takes to find items in the system

I think question is about using ref. numbers in the filter (for ex in a list)

If you type in the full reference number without the prefix, you should be able to find the item.  We have most of our features prefaced with "APP-" and others prefaced with "CUS-"; but we have to search for "APP-1234" instead of just 1234.  This is particularly annoying on mobile; but also on the web site.

Perhaps a separate ID Number search (requiring the user to search for the whole ID) would work better in the system.  Having to type the prefix in front of the user number is not very user-friendly

For the reference number to match it must be entered completely. e.g. "APP-1234". Previously we allowed partial matches on the reference number, but the problem we found is that once you have thousands of items in your account a partial match returns too many other records that match the prefix.

I'm using the Search box on the upper right side of the screen.  When I enter a number in the field, no items are found.  This happens regardless of which screen I'm on.  If I search using part of an idea or feature name, the results pane appearing under the Search box shows results.

You can search by reference numbers now. I use it frequently to find items. Is there a particular place where you are searching and not finding records by reference number?
