Technology radars

Hi,

We would like to be able to produce technology radars for Features.

Something like one of these:

https://camo.githubusercontent.com/bc6fbe71ec5816eb201161c38bf4347079fc25dc/68747470733a2f2f7261772e6769746875622e636f6d2f746e756e616d616b2f746563682d72616461722f6d61737465722f72616461722e706e67

It could be something of comparable look&feel like Strategy Diagram you already have with some filtering, on-mouse hover giving more info, clicking that reveals details on the right.

Right now we are trying to produce a workaround view using the pivot reports which are not what we want to produce. Our CIO is very much expecting real radial radars.

Best regards, Mariusz

This idea is since 2016 and still "under consideration"?!

    Competitor Radar is essential..

This would make a great Competitor Radar

I agree with everything Ryan said above. It could be easily added to the Strategy section.

I never realized I needed this feature. But I do now. I think it would be most straight forward to implement along side of Personas and Competitors. If you had a Technology tab in the same style we could list the technology, category, licensing details, status, and scorecard and use the scatter map to show their importance.

Why do we need this, open source is a way of life now. And there are several competing technologies that can all serve the same purpose with their own pros and cons (we've changed our graph db engine 3 times already). would be great way to track why one was chosen over another or why we replaced something. But also Sales always needs a list of technology used, and copyright always require proper attribution, we can keep track of all in use tech here.

It would be usefull to follow something like ThoughtWorks have, for example. They have a open source model for that, by the way, we are using here, in the company.

A similar thing was suggested on another idea,

I agree this is a high-value item, and think that the criteria you enter to drive the Aha! score for the feature, should be the items that are available as your axis options.

Actually, I recommend that you not only have the raw scorecard data available for the axis, but that you are also able to create a formula calculation for each axis, similar to the formula capabilities of the scorecard itself.

Mariusz - thank you for the request. We have upcoming plans to make upgrades to our Charting functionality which would allow to use Scatter charts. While I realize that its not exactly the same, perhaps this would prove to be a better workaround than the pivot reports.
