We really like Aha and are trying to make it the source-of-record for customer feedback into PM. By adding a "feature feedback" type of page, we could manage our Beta through Aha rather than external SharePoint. We'd like to post mockups (as pictures, not just attachments), documents for review, and gather customer comments (as public dialogue) on Features in Aha.
Hi Ron - your proposed approach does not work because there is no way to tell whether feedback is/was submitted for released or unreleased product versions. While the Aha Ideas Portal is great for continuous integration products, there is a lot of room for improvement with versioned software. I would not want non-Beta customers seeing the Beta feedback, for example. We really want to reproduce how Microsoft handles it in UserVoice -- there is a public portal for all released software, then an invite-only portal (with landing pages and feedback solicitation on features/mockups/documents) that is limited to a product and version.
This is possible today through the use of Product Notes, Notebooks and the Idea portal.
You can leverage custom fields and create "ideas" within the portal which link to your Notebooks (and/or mockups) to help you categorize the specific areas of feedback.
