Label Columns in Rows, Columns and Cells Merged

When adding columns to the target rows, columns or cells, you can't always tell intuitively what the value means. It would be extremely helpful to have the name of the columns as row or column headers. It'd be a good next step to add sub-column headers for feature data. For example: I am attaching a pivot table with some dates. I have no way of knowing what those dates mean unless I look at my "Select Data" screen.

Hi Jonathan -- would you mind taking a screenshot of an example so we can more easily understand your request?

I would also suggest to top-align the values in pivot cells.  When you have a pivot category with a lot of sub-categories, often the category name is below the fold, and you have to scroll down to see what the category is.  It would make more sense to top-align values within those large cells.
