The new Gantt chart includes an option to align dates of parent records with their children.
There are times when changes have been made to several records and those all need to have their dates re-aligned. It would be great if an option was added to bulk edit that would allow you to align dates for multiple records at once.
This would apply when bulk editing:
Initiatives
Releases
Release phases
Master features
Bulk update on date range should be made available as soon as possible - the case in scenario is if you have previously configured the relationship to be manually in calculating from Feature to Epic, when you switch over to automatic this does not bulk update on tickets created prior to the change and therefore will have to do it on a workstream level case by case - a lot of hassle for something when configured you would assume adopts the change globally.
Agree with Marty's comment below.
Our Epics will have many Feature children, and we will have many Epics. It's quite unwieldy for us to have to manually change every Epic to inherit its start/due date from child Features.
Aha should be a time saver over managing in spreadsheets. Needing update multiple related records manually undercuts part of the value prop of the tool. Bulk alignment restores some of the lost functionality while still leaving control with the users.
