What is the challenge? |
I'm receiving emails when I'm mentioned in a comment, or when someone response to my message in a comment. I know that I can get browser notifications, but emails and browser notifications get lost. I would rather manage all my work in Aha! directly. |
What is the impact? |
I'm having a hard time tracking things that require my attention in Aha! as a result I'm less effective in my role. |
Describe your idea |
I would like the "My Work" section to include notifications on when I've been tagged in a comment or received a response to my comment. For reference, Asana's In Box functionality is what I have in mind and works very well. |
In response to Logan Lim's comment - I agree. I work closely with Logan and his organisation via the Aha platform, however our collaboration is increasingly difficult due to the volume of notifications. For example, I receive a new notification for every minor edit to a post, including small changes such as a missed full stop. The volume of noise makes it increasingly challenging to identify items that require timely attention or feedback.
This is a MUST HAVE for our users.
Out of the 500+ users we have, a vast majority are regularly complaining about the notification overload that comes out of Aha.
Notifications are VERY important, but due to the volume, they're rendered useless for many team members as they cannot manage by exception easily.
I think there really needs to be some improvement with how the Participating notifications are triggered and registered.
In JIRA, you only got notified if you:
Created the ticket
Were Watching the ticket
Were specifically Commented into the ticket
However in Aha, once you’ve been mentioned in the ticket or participated ONCE, you are signed up for notifications FOR LIFE.
This doesn’t allow our teams to have smaller chats on a ticket, without everyone else getting spammed or looped in.
Often we may need to chat between specific teams, then loop everyone else in with an @mention when decisions etc are made on a ticket.
This would be a critical need in order for my organization to continue to use Aha! We need Aha notifications to allow us to choose to only send notifications when someone is "at mentioned." An ADO user "at mentions" a person and when that comment integrates over into Aha we need it to trigger a notification & be able to send an email.
1. Allow notifications only for "at mentions"
2. Allow at mention in integrated system to trigger Aha notifications & be included in option to send email
This would be extremely valuable in our organization as well. Items get lost in emails when you get so many notifications from Aha on different things. Having a separate section in My Work would be a great improvement to facilitate responding to @mentions
Our business uses DevOps for development. Aha and Devops is integrated, but @mentions in comments coming from Devops does not provide the proper alert for the product team to respond to. The result is my team having to juggle between devops and Aha to manage comments.
