Embed videos via code from YouTube/Vimeo in a KB

What is the challenge?

Cannot currently embed videos via code from video hosting platforms. Would be nice to embed galleries from Vimeo in particular

What is the impact?

Pages with many uploaded videos can be slow to load in Aha! page, might speed up loading if they're hosted elsewhere.

Describe your idea

Just need an option like you see on other platforms to supply a link or code and have the video rendered on the page from Vimeo or YouTube

You can now embed content from YouTube, Vimeo, or Figma into a note! Simply paste the URL to a video or design, and an embedded preview will appear. Click once to select it and resize, or click twice to interact with the embedded content.

Thanks for your feedback @Guest ! We do plan to add more options for embedding content into notes in the future. Since this idea is already shipped, would you mind creating new ideas for the other options you would like to see, so we can prioritize the most frequently used? Thanks!

Hi! It’s great that you've added support for YouTube and Vimeo. However, teams often use tools like Loom, Awesome Screenshot, and Jam.dev to record instructions and document issues – and currently, there’s no option to embed videos from these platforms.

Perhaps you could consider adding an "embed" option for links, similar to ClickUp (https://www.loom.com/share/2c29e32926414dc18f92455f9ba9fd26?sid=b3fc4538-82b7-4598-b92f-4362495d1c35), where users can choose whether to display a link as an embedded video or keep it as a regular link.

Recording quick video responses for tasks or adding video comments showing console errors for developers (Jam offers this feature) can save 15-30 minutes of typing out responses.

Similarly, adding video explanations for processes outlined on a whiteboard is much more efficient and understandable for those reading documentation.
