Extend Life of Shared Link for Notebooks

Shared Links for Notebooks are expiring too quickly. Users that have received a shared link should have access to the notes min 60 days. Notebooks are used in our organizaiton to track meetings, action items and tasks and participants need to reference for at least 60 days.

    Thanks for clarifying! Currently, you need to share the link with them by copy/pasting the link. Once they click on the link, they walk through a flow where they accept the link (see attached image for that step). Clicking the View document button will add it to their My work > Shared notes, where they can continue to access it.

    As a side note, we do have an idea for allowing you to enter email addresses to share the link directly from the document: https://big.ideas.aha.io/ideas/CREATE-I-155

    Hi Julie, my idea is related to Share Link. Are users instructed to accept the share link? I have not received only sent.

    Thanks for the idea!

    I wanted to confirm which link you were referring to as there are two links as part of the share document flow:

    1. Share link: Generate a share link on a document and share it with others. They have 5 days to click on the share link before it expires for security reasons. You can regenerate a new link as you need more people to access the document. This link should only be used the first time and not ongoing.

    2. Document link: Once a user accepts the share link, they have access to the document ongoing until you remove their access. They should use the document link in the URL going forward.     Are you looking for the share link itself to have a longer expiration to give users more time to access the document that first time? Or does the document link meet your needs?
