Switch off idea submission within a portal
We'd like to be able to switch off idea submission within an ideas portal on a per product workspace basis.
This would be used when a workspace wants to stop accepting new ideas for reasons, such as:
The product has reached the end of marketing/support/life
The product has reached an acceptable number of ideas in its backlog and wants to pause accepting new ideas until the backlog has been reduced
The product represents a new offering and is not yet ready to accept new ideas.

This is becoming increasingly urgent for my organization as we re-evaluate our product portfolio we want to close certain products (categories) to accepting new ideas without removing them from the portal (which, when previously tried caused a panic amongst some customers).
I guess if you are going to have the ability to turn off (maybe temporarily), then you'll need the ability to turn ideas siubmission back on as well.
In addition to the above, if the feature included the option to display a message when idea submission had been switched off, this would allow an explanation for why so to be provided and avoid the situation where users will then try to raise the same idea against a different workspace which is accepting idea submissions
