At the moment the only way we can get to the data set we need to see is by creating a calculation column in a list view and then swithcing to a pivot view to be able to sum the values required. The pivot view produces the data that we want to be able to see but there is no way to be able to sort the calculated numbers by 1-9 or 9-1 which makes the list impossible to be able to use during ranking/prioritisation discussions.
You can now sort pivot table rows by aggregations performed on cells. These fields will be available under the Aggregated columns section of the Sort fields menu. Learn more about pivot tables in our knowledge base.
Especially if we connect SFDC to Feedback, we have all these revenue numbers of opps in Proxy Votes but if we can't sum up the values, we can't easily see which Feedback items have a lot of revenue attached. We probably do have to export outside the tool to do it
Really we just need to have the ability to create a Pivot to count records within a certain set/parameters and then sort by the count. This is basic excel functionality, but having to export to excel is extra steps, and extra tools, that greatly diminish the usability/functionality or Aha charts, dashboards, and scheduled reporting
Agreed.
For a Calculated Field where the date format is changed to an alternative format (e.g. "January 2023"), it is not possible to sort in the pivot table by chronology. Only by A to Z, or Z to A.
