Being able to display something in a chart but still view some detail behind it is a really efficient way for senior leaders to understand progress/status/other about work that is being done or planned.
When I created my dashboard for upper management, they only want to see the visual charts. They want to click on something within the chart to see what all is included in that. Example, I have a chart that shows Features and the user story status. Upper management may want to click on the ones without user stories in order to understand who needs to get these user stories added. Upper management doesn't want to log in and get into the detailed reports of Aha.
I had to add charts and add a list view next to it, which takes away from just the visual dashboard that upper management wanted to see.
Completely agree with this suggestion. The dashboard reporting is fundamentally flawed as there is no ability to drill down into charts. I appreciate a list report could be generated.
However, providing the functionality to create a chart, and then not allowing the ability to get further detail is a big miss.
Other reporting software has this functionality, and Aha! will be a step behind if this is not considered.
Agree with the other comments. This is a fundamental reporting capability. A graphical chart that isn't actionable (e.g. ability to drill in to understand more and know where to go to resolve) isn't very useful. This is especially important for management and leadership.
Agreed. I see this idea was requested in Feb 2022. Its about time. We switched to Aha due to painfull process to provide transparency. Surprised see this limitation.
The lack of seamless drill-down ability is forcing us to invest in engineering resources to leverage the API (and Tableau) sooner than we would like as Aha! has all the information we need. Just need better flexibility in chart drill-downs.
Drill down is needed for anyone who looks at a dashboard to glean further insight as to what is occurring. A pie chart is great...but are the details behind each slice are often what executives are looking for after they see the numbers.
As a product manager, I want to be able to build a dashboard that contains a chart tile, and then when I click on a particular dataseries in the chart, Aha presents a report containing the details. For example, in the image attached, if I click on...

Drilldown from chart to underlying data

Upon creating a chart report, would like to be able to click through to view underlying table. E.g. Pie chart shows Ideas by Status. Want to be able to click on the "Needs Review" segment and view the associated ideas in Needs Review status.

Charts - Allow one click to show a list of records that make up that chart element

We love that we can summarize data using charts. However, we need the ability to be able to click down on a pie slice or bar to see the detail of the records that make up that chart element. Right now, we change the visualization from a chart to a...

I would also Vote for this 100 times if I could!
A very, very big miss. If I could vote for this 100 times, I would. The lack of this functionality makes the chart almost useless.

Would love to see this. Not being able to drill down requires additional time spent on creating reports crowding dashboards.
