Many people, including those with disabilities, rely on spell checking feature provided by browsers to highlight spelling mistakes during text entry in we forms.
However, Aha! text entry fields appear to reset the browser spell checking so highlighted mistakes get un-highlighted on edit of the text field contents.
Either the user then has to toggle the spell checking in the browser to get remaining mistakes to be shown again or has to click outside and back in the text entry field. For the latter, for some places in Aha!, that can result in updates with associated unwanted notifications being generated.
Thank you for following up. I'll update the idea to refer to Firefox since this works as expected in other browsers.
Hello, thanks for looking at his.
I see the issue on Firefox (89.0.2). Note that it is if one mistake is corrected (e.g. with right-click and selecting a suggestion from browser spell checker) or any edit, that remaining mistakes then get un-highlighted (until either clicking outside and back in the text editor or toggling the browser "Check Spelling" option in right-click menu.
Hi there. Just wanted to follow-up on the question above. Can you please share more information about the browser you are using?
Thank you for reaching out! I don't believe I am seeing the same behavior -- my mistakes remain highlighted as I continue to type and edit within the text editor. Perhaps the issue is browser-specific. Could you share which browser you are using and any other details that might help us identify the issue and address it? Thank you.
