Allow bulk edit on records using different layouts, for common custom fields

We’re running into this limitation while piloting new automations with a subset of teams. Their workspaces use a different custom layout than the rest of the org, and not being able to bulk edit a shared field across those records adds a lot of manual overhead. As our product ops team grows and supports more tailored workflows, this becomes increasingly difficult to manage and easy to miss. Supporting bulk edits for shared fields—even across layouts—would reduce admin burden and help maintain data consistency at scale.

Our company has this same need. Use case is that we have several workspaces that need different layouts due to multiple ways of working. Sometimes the custom fields are the same throughout, but sometimes they may be different. The ask is that when custom fields are shared in different layouts, allow common custom fields to be bulk edited.

As we handle dozens of workspaces, this would greatly benefit us. Every area has consistent fields but due to different Ways of Working, it doesn't make sense for our whole organisation to use the same template. We might have a 20+ different templates with some common fields so it would be a good timesaver to be able to do this in bulk rather than have to filter and change per workspace or layout.
