I use a pivot report for reporting out on the progress of
Roll-up Initiatives
Initiatives
Epics
Features are my cells
This is very nice. I note that we end up using the Initiative and refer indriectly to the Roll-Up-Initiative name as a field.
The problem is that I would like to SORT the table by "Roll-up Initiative Value" which is not available to me as a sort criteria. I know that we'd have to look that up indirecty but it would be awefully nice to sort by the highest level hierarchy item.
@austin the problem I am facing is that because the roll-up initiative is referenced indirectly from the child initiative any reference to "initiative value" is actually the child value and not the roll-up value.
Much in the same way that "initiaitive name" is the child name. In order to sort by the roll-up value it would need to be referenced in the same way as the "roll-up initiative name" is.
We would need a reference to "Roll-up Initiaitve Value" which is not there.
Hi there, thank you for your idea. This should be possible, though I may be misunderstanding your use case. When you are configuring the fields in your pivot, clicking Sort fields in the section where you have your roll-up initiative should give you the option to sort on that field. Please let me know if I am misunderstand. Thanks!
