Searching for an idea on the portal should use the same logic as used in the aha application.
Our users are reporting that the ideas search on our ideas portal isn't returning useful results.

Display custom field response in ideas portal display
Add "flair" tags similar to how Reddit uses them. These would appear as colored tags on the ideas portal - similar to how the statuses are displayed, but they would be a custom field that the user could complete upon submitting an idea.
