I would like to add and remove standard fields in a custom field layout for features and initiatives. I can add custom fields to a custom field layout today, but I cannot add or remove any of the standard fields in the custom field layout. So basically I'd like to start with the default field layout in a feature or initiative and then customize it using my own custom fields and adding or removing some of the standard fields.
Thanks for the idea!
You can now manage your standard and custom fields in your custom layout. You can access your custom layout from account settings > Custom layouts or directly from a record. Click on a record's [...] menu and select Create/Edit custom layout. You can re-order, set visibility, and remove standard fields that are not required.
There are several standard fields which have no bearing on how we categorize our Initiatives, epics, etc. Like Color, Time Frame etc. Please prioritize this asap as it fairly evident, from the number of votes on this idea, that this should be 'standard' functionality.
Why has this been under consideration for such a long time? The original concept of hiding standard fields should not be that difficult to grasp and should be something that can get implemented really very quickly. I would suggest that with 230+ upvotes this ought to be something that Aha! starts to prioritise!
I want to remove the wording "aha! scorecard from my custom scorecard bc it is confusing my users.
At both the Idea, Initiative and Feature levels I want the ability to hide these default fields because they cannot be promoted to an Initiative.
I would like to remove the Aha score and some of the date fields - we do not need Start on/End on AND internal/external dates on the same card, as it is causing confusion.
I need the standard "categories" field an editable choice field, but I can't do that because it's a standard field. So I created a new Custom field for this, but the Categories field is still on the Ideas Detail page in Aha. I want to remove it because it can cause confusion, but it can't be removed because it's standard.
I'd like to remove "release phases" since I don't use it, and it bumps other more relevant stuff down on the card.
Hey Aha. Any news as to if this is ever going to happen?
Would help adoption across our org to be able to focus users on getting the data that we are most interested in using as we adopt features over time.
Agree with request. Would also like to have more control over where each field is placed so you can intermix standard and custom fields versus just having all the custom fields follow the standard section.
There are various standards fields a user might not use, and it's very annoying these show up on the views/cannot be removed.
I would like to remove the default scorecard from the list of fields in the ideas tab. This is because of the naming convention being set to "Aha scorecard" and not being able to rename this. I have created another 2 custom scorecards for "Stank rank" and "Level of Effort" and having the default show up is confusing and clunky.
I would like to remove "idea score" and "tags" from the Idea detail view, since my team will be rolling out a simplified version of ideas intake. We'll be mainly relying on Idea name, description, category, and then using our own (offline) process to score and slot them in as roadmap items. The detail view is really overwhelming with the standard fields there, that we won't ultimately use.
I would like to remove "Feature request score" from the layout because I am currently using custom scoring fields.
Agree with comments, need to have the possibility of removing standard fields, from Releases, Initiatives, User Stories, etc..
Agreed. There are several fields that are not required and not a mandatory fields. We would atleast have an option to disable from the display.
Would like more control about setting up this layout. Removing standard fields, reordering, grouping. Maybe even the addition of some line break controls so that fields related to a specific concept can be separated from others.
I would like to see the ability to move the position of custom fields beyond the seemingly simply technical boundaries set by Aha. Why can I not move them in a position which is better suited from a contextual perspective? Aha only allows them to be put at the bottom. Why discriminate against custom fields...?
Would like the ability to be able to hide Goals from Feature, Master Feature, Release and Master Release Layouts.
Changing the detailed view of initiatives would be very handy, If you add custom fields these can be visible only in the panel on the right.
